Jagtap Scholarship
The Jagtap MISSO Membership Scholarship is designed to help students get involved with MISSO and take advantage of the organization’s professional development, networking, mentorship, technical education, and career resources.
Selected recipients will receive reimbursement for the cost of a $65 MISSO membership after completing the scholarship requirements during the Fall 2026 semester.
Priority consideration will be given to first-generation college students, first-time MISSO members, and underclassmen. Applicants do not need to meet all three criteria to be considered.
Students are encouraged to purchase their MISSO membership as soon as possible so they can immediately begin attending events and taking advantage of member benefits. Applying for this scholarship does not guarantee selection.
Applications should reflect your own experiences, thoughts, and writing. Do not use AI tools to write or generate your application responses. Applications determined to be AI-generated will not be considered.
Scholarship Requirements
To receive reimbursement, selected recipients must:
- Attend at least 2 of MISSO’s 4 milestone events:
- Mentorship Mixer
- Career Mixer
- Alumni Mixer
- Casequest/HackMISSO
- Complete at least one mentorship session with Professor Pankaj Jagtap during the semester
- Maintain an active MISSO membership throughout the semester
Once all requirements have been completed and verified, recipients will be reimbursed for their $65 membership fee.
The deadline to apply is September 10 at 11:59 PM. Scholarship updates and additional instructions will be sent to the email address provided.

- Workshops include:
- SQL Workshop
- KM Solutions Resume Workshop
- Ascend Financial Literacy Workshop
- Python Workshop
- CLI Kali
- 3. Attend the FALL’26 MISSO Banquet
Members may choose to answer more than 1 scholarship prompt, but may only be considered to win 1 scholarship. In the situation where there may be a lack of applications, members will be considered to win more than 1.
Scholarship Submissions should be emailed to [email protected] by TBA at 11:59 PM. If you are submitting multiple scholarships they must be submitted in different files in one email.
Subject line should be: “MISSO FAll’26 Scholarship – (Name) (PSID) – (Prompt #, #, #, #)
Example:

In 3-4 paragraphs, tell us how your experience and tenure in MISSO has shaped your college career. This can include but is not limited to professional development such as landing a job. Make it personable, this can include the friendships/connections you’ve made, the personal growth you’ve attained, any goals we’ve helped you accomplish, etc. We would love to hear how MISSO has benefited you!
As an MIS student, we have the option of going into various career paths. This includes but is not limited to – consulting, data analytics, project management, etc. In 2-3 paragraphs write about which of these you hope to pursue a career in and why it appeals to you.
If you received resume guidance/development from me at any point in this semester, show off your before and after! This is a chance for you to show us how far you’ve come. You will receive bonus consideration if your revised resume was able to land you offers!
